He Hears Your Prayers

Hello!
Well I just want to start off by saying how much I love this Gospel and each one of you! I am simply grateful! This last week was good. I dropped off my first daugher (mission lingo) in Salzburg and picked up my second daughter - Sister Wunderli (the Golden)! She is an angel. She is 22 and from Hungary! She does not speak english or german very well - so lets just say everyday is an adventure! haha That being said - I need a lot of patience everyday. You know I have been thinking a lot lately of patience. We had a really good discussion on prayer and Chris-like attributes we wish to develop in Munich last week. Developing and becoming better is the goal of our life here on earth. The transformative power of the Atonement and Gospel is to do just that....change us. At the end of this life we hope to be better people, more loving, and ultimately more like Him. So how do we do that? It starts with the desire coupled with prayer. Not just asking God for more faith or charity, but asking Him to bless us with opportunities and experience to develop these characteristics. I have seen in my life and my mission as I have asked Heavenly Father for something, He has answered my prayer by teaching me something. He has allowed me to exercise my agency and learn things for myself through experience. I am grateful for this principle. This has been a real thing in my life at the current time. I have been trying to be more patient and have been asking God to help me. His answer...a sweet companion that requires a lot of patience. I know God knows us and knows exactly what we need in order to become the person He sees us as. We just have to have the faith to see the big picture and ask Him to teach us. The idea that He answers our prayers but not usually in the way and when we would like Him to has taken a very real role in my life and I am grateful for that.
The Ameh Family is doing good! Hannah is still reading and asking great questions. Clement is struggling but said he would read. The family loved what we shared about the Plan of Salvation! They were just eating it up. All of these things they learned at the knees of our Heavenly Father finally entered thier ears on this earth. The familiarity, peace, and joy the Plan provides were again felt! We will meet them again tomorrow night so keep us all in your prayers! Melanie is doing great! She is coming to FHE tonight with the YSAs so that will be great! Ohhhh life is oh so beautiful! Just remember the words of Charles from Graz, "Tough times don't last, but tough people do!" haha
I love this work. I love our Savior Jesus Christ and His ability to teach us perfectly through His love and the experiences He offers us.
Pray to Him and ask Him to teach you. If you are having a hard time, seek to find out what He is trying to teach you.
He really does hear our prayers.
I liebe euch!
XOXOXOXOXOX
Schwester Jaynes
