I hope everyone is doing great! Well we were in Munich for our Mission Leadership Council on Thursday and all of a sudden after breakfast, President Miles just whips out transfers! haha He starts reading off the changes taking place. My heart was racing, but i knew that I would be staying in Linz for some reason...i just didnt know what else would happen. Well President just had been smiling at me and cracking jokes that morning. He got that same smile and said, "Sister Jaynes you will be staying in Linz and training again!" What?! Crazyyy! It just felt right somehow. I knew that the miracles that we had been seeing were not finished yet...well at least I was not ready to leave yet.
We had a great week again. There were two highlights I wanted to share today! The first with the Ameh Family! So we invited the family to pray about the Book of Mormon! Each of the family members agreed. Well the we followed up on Friday night with the family. As we sat there and talked, I was anxious to hear what had happened. A few of the kids had prayed...but they said they all fell asleep. hahaha kids these days. Clement said that he had not read much and did not pray yet because of his work. He works almost all day and it is strenuous. I almost wanted to cry until Hannah started to bear testimony. She began to explain that she had prayed and did not have a specific answer, but she said that she had read a lot. She had read 2 hours that day!!!!! Soooo cool. Hannah said that she believes that it is from God! As her family just sat there, I was blown away. Here was this angel mother, who only wanted the best for her little family. She was open and wanted to know what God wanted from her and he led her to gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon!!!!! The rest of the family will need some time, but they will get there. We are concerned that Clement's friends from his other church are saying things to him. So keep their family in your prayers! We are meeting with them tonight to talk more about the Plan of Happiness :)
The next highlight is about a girl named Melanie. I cannot remember if I have already written about her but oh well. Melanie is the cutest little austrian ever! She is 24 and has a heart of gold. She is friends with one of our members. She has never been religious her entire life. Melanie's father passed away when she was 14 and she says that she feels him close. It was so neat to bear my testimony of the Plan of Salvation to her. Welllll anyways. We met Melanie through this family in our ward - the Wagners. Melanie is preparing to take a final test in english and she was looking for some help. The members thought of me :) I had taught the english class in Graz so i thought it would be a piece of cake. Well the very first appointment we had was at the members house. We hit it off! That first appointment I felt like I had known her my entire life! It was so cool, because at the end of the appointment, Melanie said the same thing to the member. She said "Sister Jaynes and I for sure sat together somewhere else before today." haha Little does she know that was probably right. Pre-mortal life cough cough. Well we have met quite a few times with Melanie. We always pray and give a spiritual thought or simply discuss life and our experiences. We meet either at the church or at the Wagner's home. Well this last Sunday, Schwester Wagner came up to me and told me how Melanie was at her house last week and told her how much she had been praying that I would stay in Linz. haha It was so cool! Melanie also called me and told me how she had been praying and that her entire family is glad i am staying! haha Well Schwester Wagner also said that she had spoken with Melanie about the church for 2 hours the other day. Melanie asked how she could find out if it was right for her. Schwester Wagner said she should ask us. So i hear all of this yesterday at church. Rewind a few days. As transfers were coming, I just had the thought ok I just need to ask Melanie if she wants to learn more about our church. Salvation is no game!!!! ha So i really had that impression. As soon as I heard what Melanie had been asking and everything, I knew it was no coincidence. Well last night, Melanie was driving us home and she brought it up! She told us everything and began to say how "at home" she feels in the church and around us. She also said that it was no coincidence that we had met. I told her also my feelings and thoughts and the impression I had last week. It was so neat.
I have such a strong testimony of God's plan for each and every one of us. I am grateful for the promptings and feelings He gives us. I am grateful to be a tool in His hands. Here cutie Melanie was thinking that english was what she would learn, little did she know that Heavnely Father was only using that as a way to bring her back to Him. I love this Gospel. I know the God has a plan for us. It is through Him that we can find lasting happiness not only today, but for eternity. Life is oh, so good.
Ich liebe euch!
XOXOXOXOXOX
Schwester Jaynes
