Open Your Mouth

SERVUS!!!!!

How is everyone doing?! Well I feel like this last week was over in a blink of an eye. Where did it go? Well I guess time flies when you are having fun! This last week was super. We had our first appointment with Miracle Margit! She is just GOLDEN: As I started to email, I got a call from the Elders in another city, asking what I knew about Margit. I was so confused at first. As I told them the story, they got so excited! In our mission, we invite every family to make a family mission plan - a plan to share the good news and hope of the gospel with their friends and family members. Well, two weeks ago, the elders did this with a family in their ward. They prayed with the family and expected Heavenly Father to give them opportunities to share the Gospel. That opportunity came, as the mother was on the phone with Margit. After nine years of friendship, all it took was a prayer of faith and desire to share the gospel, and a child of God was able to find His church on the earth today. How cool is that?! We are all in this together. We have the privilege to take part in the work of Salvation. Heavenly Father could do it all on His own, but instead He allows us to exercise our faith and aid Him in bringing back His sons and daughters to Him.
Last Monday we were able to meet with Margit. She is just hilarious. We were able to get to know her better and she is just as spunky, sassy, yet kind as I thought. Her faith in our Father in Heaven has been constant. She never associated her trials, problems, and terrible experiences with God, she always knew He was there and that He had a plan for her. Well towards the end of the lesson, Margit finally just flat out said, "Well, I just want to be baptized, and soon!" We asked her to pray about a date. Yesterday, during church, Margit came up to me and said "Sister Jaynes, I have been thinking and praying about it, and March 16th is the day!" What a miracle! We will be teaching her on Thursday and making a plan so that she can be prepared to take this step she knows is right and that will lead her home to our Heavenly Father!
This Miracle of Margit began with a prayer. A prayer of faithful people wanting to share something that meant the world to them. Our Father in Heaven hears our prayers. He is aware of our needs. The other day I was reading in the Liahona. I read a talk by President Monson. He was telling of an experience he had in Munich years ago. As I read Munich, I had one of those "aha" moments. I was IN Munich. I looked around and had to pinch myself. I am so blessed to be a missionary. I am grateful for the lessons I have learned and the ones I have yet to learn. I know God loves us and wants us to be happy. He provided a perfect plan with a Savior who enables us to overcome our weaknesses and become better people.

Ich habe euch Lieb!!!!
XOXOXOXOXOXOX
