Suffering With Him

Well I just want to start off by saying how much I love each and every one of you! Life would not be much without each of you. My heart strings have been pretty torn hearing about our sweet Bella. Actually what I want to write about today is what I learned the other morning in study - which goes with everything that has been happening. I have been aware of a lot of difficutlies that people go through since being a missionary. This life is full of them. Some of the difficulties in life are a result of something we did. Others are not. I am grateful for the sweet and the sour we each experience in this life because the difference between the two types teach us. I have seen how so many people here have decided to not believe in God when they expereince the sour. It is so sad because it is our faith in Him and his Love and Hope which we desperately need when we are experiencing the sour. 

The apostle Paul wrote: "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs, heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if it so be that we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified together." Romans 8:16-17 We are His children and in order for us to become more like Him, we too have to suffer like He did. Luckily our suffering is not done alone because Jesus Christ knows us and loves us. He is on our side to strengthen us and to see us through. He is able to carry us during these hard times when we feel like no one understands. Premortal life (A), Earth life (B), and the life to come (C) are differernt points. We cannot get from point A to C without going through point B.

I do not have a lot of time today, but I want to testify of God's love. He is there and He wants us to return to Him. Experiences in life are necessary for our salvation. He is there telling us that we just need to keep our faith and that everything will be alright. I know that God is a God of miracles and we have already seen that with Bella so far. I know that when we put our trust in Him, everything with be ok. His plan and His ways are always perfect. He is good, He is our father. I know Elder Jaynes' russian prayers are powerful, but I will just send some German ones just in case. God lives and hears and answers our prayers.
