God Hears & Answers Prayers

Hallllllo!

This week just flew by! Life here in Munich is crazy. From the public transformation to the people, there is really never a dull moment. One really cool experience I wanted to share this last week happened with an investigator named Elena. Elena is from Ukraine (shout out to my Elder Jaynes in Russia - yes she can speak russian) Side note, there are quite a few russians here in Germany...so everytime I meet one...i get so excited and start talking about my cutie brother there. Anyways, well Elena has been meeting with missionaries for years. Her husband is not religious and so that has been hard on her. Well our first lesson with Elena I really did not know what to say or what to do. So we just went in with a plan and prayed super hard. Well as I was asking Elena about herself, she began to explain how she wants to do the right thing, but just doesn't want to make a mistake or hurt her family. She also began to describe a dream she had months ago that she didnt understand, but knew it meant something. She said in the dream she was in mud and could not move. All of a sudden two men came up behind her and gave her a paper with the words written "You have to die in order to be saved!" My first thought...I was a little creeped out. the normal Michelle would have been like, ok that was wierd...and moved on. Well luckily I am currently Sister Jaynes and this is the Lord's work because a scripture almost instantly came to my head. I had not used it before in a lesson and had only read it once in the MTC. It was in Romer 6:4."Therefore we are aburied with him by bbaptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the cdead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should dwalk in enewness of life." As I shared this scripture with her I had no idea really what I was saying or all that much about Elena. All i know was i could tell the Spirit was working through me. There was definitely a power beyond my own. As Elena read this scripture she said that it could be the answer to her prayers and her dream. After that we were able to bear testimony of baptism and the plan God has for us. It was one of the most spiritual lessons I had been in. After only knowing Elena for not even an hour, we invited her to pray about December to be baptized. Elena said she would do just that. We will be meeting with her on Wednesday and I am so excited to see if she is willing to follow our Savior!
If there is one thing I know, it is that God is our Loving Heavenly Father! He loves His children so much. It is so cool to see His miracles happen in this part of His vineyard.
Sister Packer and I decided that our theme this transfer is "Building Up the Kingdom of God in München 3"! There is so much work to be done here. From strengthening the ward here in Munich to leaving the 99 to save the 1, to meeting with great people like Elena, there is work to be done. Heavenly Father saved us for this time to do His work - the Work of Salvation! Whether we need to start with ourselves, our families, or our friends, start to pray for such opportunities. Take part in this work! Build the Kingdom of God wherever you are! It all starts with LOVE! Since we know how it feels to be loved from a Heavenly Father - it is easy to share that with others.
I love this Gospel. I love our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His truth is truly marching on!
Ich liebe euch!
Be Happpppy :)
XOXOXOXOXOXOX
