Austrian Summer

Hallllllllo!
I hope everyone is enjoying their last few days of summer! I cannot believe that September is almost here. I am so grateful for this Austrian Summer I have been able to experience. I have learned so much and I am simply grateful. One major lesson I have learned this summer is that miracles never cease. (I know I have said it a million times, but it is true.) Well this week was again full of miracles. From finding so many potentials, giving out more Book of Mormons than I ever have on my mission and having great lessons this week was so great. Do not get me wrong, we had SO many appointments fall through and there were definitely hard times, but just like Heavenly Father always does, He blessed us by letting us know the bitter and the sweet this last week.
So the Ameh Family is doing great. This last week we were able to teach the Restoration and we watched the DVD about Joseph's experience. After we watched it, we were able to talk about what we felt. One of the daughters is named Enna and she is 14 years old. She said that she felt so good watching it. She then said that she felt the same way watching another movie. She then got up and went to the shelf and pulled down a DVD. As she passed the movie to me she explained that she just cried and cried watching it. The family then all agreed how special this movie was. As I turned the movie case around, my heart dropped. It was The Testaments!!!! What?!?!?!! I was shocked. I then explained this was a movie about the Book of Mormon from our church! haha What a miracle! Clement said he had bought it at a flea market or something! haha The Lord has been preparing this family for so long. It was such a cool moment for me. To hear how moved they were by this movie. To tell them that it was true and that they could read about it in 3 Nephi was so neat. Wow. So great. At the end of the appointment, Hannah the mom once again prayed and thanked Heavenly Father for the Restoration of His church!
Well we met with the family on Saturday night! There were many questions, but gratefully the Lord is on our side. Probably one of the hardest quetions Hannah asked was about Baptism. It was hard for me to tell her that her baptism was not done with someone with authority. She was really troubled by this. She said how good she had felt and how she really had felt "saved". It then came back to the Restoration and if she believed that His Church and Authority was restored through Jospeh Smith. I am so grateful for the Spirit and the words He can give us to help those around us. At the end of the lesson, we invited the family to come to church. We had asked them last Sunday but Hannah has to wrok on Sundays normally. We knew she had this Sunday off, so we asked. Clement at first said no. All of the children wanted to, but for some reason Clement - the dad- just said no. Dont worry, Sister Jaynes had seen too many miracles to just accept no. Long story - short, they said they would come! I mean we have invited sooo many people to church and it usually does not happen. But we were SO excited and just knew that God could work one more miracle!
Well Sunday morning comes along. I probably said 100 prayers and could not sleep Saturday night. We get to the church early and make sure the bishop knows and start getting the ward excited that a great family would be coming to church! We saved the perfect row in the chapel for sacrament meeting. Well 9:30 rolls around....no family. I wanted to die, but something in me just said they are coming! At this point the meeting had started. There i was just at the front door, heart racing, and then I saw the most beautiful sight. There came Clement in the car...his African traditional clothing just fluttering in the wind. haha YESSSSS! Hannah and Clement had matching African outfits on...it was perfect! With the four children following I nearly died of happiness. We walked into the chapel during the opening hymn and were able to enjoy our Sunday together. The kids all went in their classes and had a great time! After the talks in Sacrament meeting, Hannah started to clap! haha So great. I am so excited to see what they thought and how they felt.
I am so grateful for this tender mercy of the Lord. I am grateful that I could see the Ameh Family enter into the church for the first time. I know that with Faith all things are possible. I am also grateful for flea markets. I know that God has a plan for each of us. He is in the details of our lives. I LOVE this Gospel!
I love all of you!!!
XOXOXO
Schwester Jaynes
