Liebe Family and Friends!!!!
Hiiiiiii! Well the sun is out and shining here in Linz today! Sometimes I forget that I am in Austria - and then I remember and am super grateful. Well it looks like I am blessed with an entire Austrian Summer! I am staying in Linz :) The Elders are both leaving...they are white-washing Linz - so that was the suprise of the transfer! haha But the old Zone leader is coming here and training so that will be great! Linz is such a great city and the ward here is amazing...so hopefully this transfer we will continue to see miracles!
I just have to say how much I love this work...the work of Salvation! We were teaching Doris a few times this last week...she is doing well and preparing for her baptism which is
this Saturday! Pictures will be sent next week :) But as we sat and taught Doris...i really felt the Lord working through me. It was a surreal experience. I was speaking German and putting together sentences in the way Doris needed to hear them. The Spirit was so strong and I really knew that I was but an instrument in the Lord's hands.
There have been a few hard times with a few sisters...which as Sister Training leader...we get to help with. It was just as powerful with the sister missionary as with the experince with Doris. The Lord took my weak abilities and a willing heart and was able to help His daughter. I am so grateful for the knowledge of the Savior and that He is there. We do not know what everyone needs. I do not know what the person coming down the street is dealing with, or the inner struggles of Doris, or even the struggling sister's concerns. But God does. He knows our hearts. He knows His children. He has a plan for them. He is wanting to bless them and help them. Answers to prayers are always answered...and a common way is through another person. We can experience the peace, joy, and love that comes when we allow ourselves to be an instrument in His hands.
I am grateful that the Lord allows us to have these experiences. He has created a plan that includes such experiences to help us make progress and be happy. I am grateful for our Loving Father in Heaven! I am out of time, but i will write more next week!
