Graz, GRAZ, GrAz

Hallllllllo!
I hope everyone is doing wonderful!
This last week in Graz was really great! My mission president, President Miles, and his wife came to Graz for a fireside! The fireside was for the ward and was ALL about missionarywork...my kind of fireside. The night before the fireside, President Miles and his wife came to an appointment with us (i was super nervous) haha but it went really well! President Miles is amazing and has a way with people that is just beautiful. Sister Miles (Elder Nelson of the 12 Apostles daughter) isnt too bad herself! :) I love that i learn things from so many people everyday here on my mission. I feel like there is just too much to learn sometimes and my brain just cant take it all in. #missionarproblems haha One lesson I learned from President Miles is that being Christian has never been easy for anyone. It was hard being Christian before Christ came, it was hard being Christian while Christ was on the Earth, and it is still hard to be Christain today. The world doesn't accept Christianity and everthing is moving farther and farther away from the truth. Living the Gospel in the world's eyes is super difficult, but in reality it is what makes us free. Our knowledge of the Savior and striving to be a follower of Him is what we must do, but is not always the easy thing. Anyways, I hope that made sense. haha
Charles is doing better! He loves the Savior and will get through the hard times. Juliette and Endurance are doing good...but there is now a really huge roadbloack...we got 2 churches between the Gospel and Juliette and Endurance. 1. Their previous pastor is aware of us and keeps calling them constantly. 2. The Catholic church has subsidized housing which they live in...and we were told we cannot teach them in their apartment. Sooooo that put a damper on things. But its ok, we are on Heavenly Fathers team - and He always wins. So we will figure something out.
As far as other things that are new, we get our transfer calls this Friday. So we will find out if we are transferred or not. I have a feeling Sister Holmstead will be leaving...since she has been here since August...so I will have to take over Graz...and show my next companion the ropes...which i am terrified of because I cant speak German still. haha Well at least I cant speak it well yet. hhaa Buts its ok, because our Father in Heaven knows what He is doing. :) With the increase of missionaries coming to our mission, Graz will now have a set of Elders here which will be wonderful! The work goes forward!
I heard this quote about Sister Missionaries the other day and thought i would share it. It from President Hinckley:
"Today many sisters are being called to serve. Many more are preparing to serve. Not because they aren't married or dont have anything else to do, but they have the desire to serve. One reason that the Lord wants more sisters to serve is because within the next generation, He will send His Preisthood army to the earth. He wants to send choice spirit children to mothers who have been prepared, properly trained, and taught the gospel. What better schooling can a mother have than the experience and growth she gains through serving a mission?"
I love this quote. I am grateful to be on a mission and to be able to learn so much. I know that you dont have to serve a full-time mission to be a good mother or a good father - but i know that we can prepare spiritually for the future. For me in my life, I need this mission to learn certain things and I am grateful that Heavenly Father allows me to learn lessons in the ways I learn them. The Lord gives us experiences that makes our weakenesses into our strengths when we rely on Him. Life is soooo good! The Gospel is the way we find the good life.
I love you all and pray for you daily.
XOXOXO
